Anyone who thinks that justice is always blind is in for a rude awakening. It's interesting to hear you talk about the claustrophobic nature of his settings. I have found so far that the places he features in his novels really take on a life for me. They have a pretty good atmosphere. Can't say why, because he really doesn't spend a lot of time describing them, but they are memorable all the same.Dochttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04663294509271088537noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2643556063278948624.post-32202361380239976702010-06-24T22:57:41.928-04:002010-06-24T22:57:41.928-04:00It was too scary to read and I put it down! :)It was too scary to read and I put it down! :)John Oak Daltonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07831008101574718560noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2643556063278948624.post-28245676161307657912010-04-18T00:53:54.561-04:002010-04-18T00:53:54.561-04:00Wow. After reading your first blog post about consuming 50 books in a year, it got me to wondering how many books I go through a year. So I started counting. I was a little shocked to discover that I logged in at 50 books in just 3 months. With those kinds of numbers it sounds like I'm reading all the time, but I only read maybe 45 minutes, at the most, a day--30 minutes at night, 15 in the am. Of course, I'm the first to admit I'm not reading deep intellectual novels, I like to be entertained and mysteries are my posion of choice. Best of luck in your reading challenge, it has inspired me!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00706216916787154148noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2643556063278948624.post-56122064626946135352009-12-13T10:57:31.550-05:002009-12-13T10:57:31.550-05:00Impressive! I was totally unimpressed with him as a writer at first, but wound up liking him a lot.
